The movement to tokenize traditional assets—from gaming items and yield-bearing assets to RWAs—will continue to accelerate. This isn't just a trend; it's an inevitable shift that will reshape how value is created, stored, and transferred.

As tokenization expands, we believe diverse blockchain networks will emerge based on different stakeholder interests and use cases. Protocols that achieve product-market fit as applications on existing chains will eventually migrate to or expand into their own sovereign networks/rollups, seeking greater control and value capture.

These emerging blockchain ecosystems will continuously need to justify their existence and maintain relevance in an increasingly competitive crypto landscape. To do this, they require a steady stream of new DeFi applications and infrastructure that demonstrate genuine utility and adoption.

However, there's an essential requirement: these applications must be built by neutral, third-party entities separate from the foundations that develop and operate the chains themselves. This separation is essential to uphold the core value of decentralization that these ecosystems claim to represent.

We see blockchain foundations as our primary customers—entities that need fundamental DeFi applications and tooling built on their networks by independent, but credible and collaborative teams.
